SUPERSTITION

Hawaiian legend has it that if one throws a lei from a departing ship and it floats back towards shore, you'll come back someday. If it floats out to sea you won't.

I love the colours of this lei - if I went to Hawaii and they gave me one of those, I don't think I'd want to throw it overboard!

Beautifully peaceful. Too bad air travel doesn't allow for the testing of that superstition. Poor leis would get just incinerated by the jet engines, I guess.
