THE ZOO was this week's Illustration Friday theme. Several years ago I did this painting of St. Francis with all the pets I've ever had. I think it works.

SUPERSTITION

Hawaiian legend has it that if one throws a lei from a departing ship and it floats back towards shore, you'll come back someday. If it floats out to sea you won't.
